Here is where the merchant is Jesus and where the beautiful pearls is you and I. Jesus found us, and want us from the very beginning, and when He found us, He paid for us at a full price - He died for us.
Jesus loves us so much.
It is easier to think that we are the merchant seeking for the beautiful pearl (Jesus), but it is said that we don’t tend to seek for Him.
It is He who looked and found us first, because we are precious beings that have been created by God.
