Iron Sharpens Iron

Proverb 27:17, NKJ “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend”

We must past the learning process to know and do new things that we never experienced before. This learning process is done repeatedly, including when we learn to embed Christian values in our lives. Someone who is spiritually close can lead us to have a better character. A good society leads us to good habits.

Your Christian life can grow by imparting your life to someone. It requires a totality. If you are a mentor and have a spiritual brother, Bible study, or a regular schedule of meetings are not enough to make them in accordance with standards you set. It also requires all aspects of your life to be known and carried out together with your spiritual brothers. This example is the same when Elisha followed Elijah as ‘servants’.

Elisha was not only being called, but he followed Elijah. He wanted to spend all the time with Elijah, so he obtained a more portions of the anointing of Elijah. If you read the entire story of the prophet Elijah, you will find that God answered his prayers.

Ask God to send you someone who can lead you to be a better person and more understand about God’s will in your life. Or ask Him for ability to be able to bless someone’s life, and lead his life with character of Christ.
